Liz Murray, based in Norfolk, is an accomplished, internationally selling artist and doctor of Emergency Medicine. In the early days of studying Medicine, Liz began selling commissions and originals, before taking a break from Medicine in 2016 to dedicate time to producing her debut fine art collection. Since then Liz responded to the Covid 19 crisis and returned to work in Emergency Medicine. Liz is currently enjoying the balance of both passions, as well as being a mother of two. The change in role and challenges of 2020 are inspiration for the forthcoming collection 'Life Felt in Colour' which is expected in 2021/2022.
The trademark of the collection is bringing a contemporary twist to a classic muse. Country in Wellies presents animal favourites, particularly those seen on the field, but with the subtle humour of donning them in tweed and wellington boots. The collection debuted with a pheasant in wellies and since then the pheasants and gun dogs have proved to be the most popular. Since debuting in 2016 Liz has sold many originals, most of which sell within a month or two of release particularly exclusive originals.
Inspired by her love of the country and wellies, Liz found it only natural to pair the country favourites together. The collection has been displayed at The Game Fair with Country Living.
